Anyone got one of those tall cupboards that pull out, from IKEA , and is it better than individual pull-out drawers?

Have to decide between
this which has a door on hinges and individually sliding out drawers inside

or this where you pull the door out and the drawers are attached and all slide out with it.

Need to know if one or other stands the test of time better in terms of wear and tear on the runners, and are the ones where all the drawers slide out together very heavy and hard to pull out when full?
Is it more convenient just having to pull the door and having access to everything at once or is it better to have to open a door and then pull out the drawer you want?

Any advice or experiences welcome!

we have one with mixture 2 fixed drawers that pull out when door is pulled open. It has been fabulous - the other drawers pull out individually and we have pull out wire baskets at the top. For crisps and tins

Looks to me like the 2-door version, only has top and bottom drawers attached to the door. I thought it was one of these you were talking about.

I have a big base unit where the entire front pulls out with the bottom drawer, and then two further drawers have tins etc in them. It's fabulous. But withit being a high cabinet, it might be easier to be able to open the door out of the way, then you can open each drawer and peer into it.

Either of them will be 1000 times better than crowded shelves though.

Ah, I think you're both right - with the one where the whole door pulls out only some of the drawers are attached and the others can be pulled out individually. Then the smaller top cupboard has pull out baskets.

Thanks!
