Magnetic eyelashes- do they work?

Keep getting bombed with magnetic eyelash adverts. Does anybody use them? Do they work? I'm now so tired that I can't be bothered to put mascara on because then I'll have to take it off at the end of the day 😅 and I need help to make my tired eyes look better!

Please suggest me a brand that isn't fiddly!

No

I bought some but, by the time I got round to trying them, the magnetic liner was dried up I bought another liner but it didn't work so, unless there are different types of magnetism and I got the wrong one, NO

Oh dear, I thought as much!!! Oh well, I guess everything that looks good is effort 😭 😅

Yes! I thought they were great!

I've used them successfully but the remover really hurt my eyes and they were expensive compared to stick on lashes which I think work really well. Worth trying them as they are decent if you can get on with the remover.

Ooh, that's good news. Which brand? Did they require any kind of glue or just whack em on? Thanks 🙏

Sorry to hear they hurt your eyes. So they still need some kind of glue that then has to be removed? I keep seeing adverts for ones that just seem to 'snap' on. It must be a lie...

I think it depends on the type. Posters here seem to be referring to magnetic ones that come with a special eye liner that is magnetic.

I’ve been bombarded with the ones that are magnetic and fit over your lashes so I’m guessing that’s what you’ve seen. I got suckered in and have ordered them. Coming from China so not arrived yet. Reviews are very good but we’ll see.

I'm suckered in too and going to order now. Just the idea of something easy that could make me look a lot better is tempting. Let's see when they arrive...

No. I bought them from Lola's Lashes and they were rubbish. When I contacted them they really didn't want to know and insisted it was my fault somehow.

MrBiscuits24 · 23/02/2025 23:18

No and the eyeliner is really hard to remove.
You're better off using regular glue on.

bullrushes · 24/02/2025 13:14

I have the silly George snap on ones. They’re ridiculous and absolutely a waste of money. I wear a lot of false eyelashes so I am practiced at putting them on.

SirChenjins · 24/02/2025 13:23

I tried the ones with the magnetic liner - absolute waste of money. The liner was really hard to put on, couldn't get the lashes to stick evenly, and then couldn't remove the liner - I was still finding bits of it days later. I'd been tempted by all the ads for the ones you apply with that applicator thing - will watch this thread with interest!

Yes! I love them, hit & miss depending on who makes them but the ones which work are brilliant.

I've never managed to get the hang of glue on ones and I'm a side-sleeper so extensions aren't an option. So far bought from amazon with a magnetic eyeliner, only downside I found was the eyeliner takes a bit of removing and its not easy to clean the lashes to reuse. The ones I liked also aren't available anymore.

Have just ordered some from lola's lashes because they claim they're reusable for 30 wears, I'm hoping they'll be a success, save me from trying random ones on amazon.
