Washing machine gone...again, so we are looking at buying a new one. Really want a good quick wash so I can get through 3 loads a day. Am being told by salesmen that its not possible to have fast quick washed due to the environmental regulations that require the washing machine to have cold fill only????!!!

Cam anyone recomend a quick wash that works, large drum, not too noisy (although it is in a utility room so not too worried) and one that lasts a decent time with a family!

TIA

we got a bosch which has all different settings inclyding a super quick 15min wash. Holds 7kg and is not too noisy. Think it was around £450

I have a bosch that does a quick wash, too. It is reliable.I saved ages to buy a relatively decent washing machine as I its one thing I would be lost without, drowning in laundryIt was £499 iirc and hads been very good,so far!!

I have just bought a Hoover HD Vision, only had it 4weeks so can't atest to it's longevity but I'm in LOVE!!!

It was £269, takes 8kgs and has a 1400 spin speed. Has 12 wash settings 5 spin speeds and 6 wash temps.

Included in the 12 wash settings are two quick washes of 29mins and 44mins and a 30min sports wash but I haven't used it yet.

I was doing about three loads a day with my old machine but can now get away with only one.

Oh and it's cold fill only but a 60 wash temp only takes about 90mins and it's quite quiet.

Dh works for comet and when we were looking he was told to avoid hotpoint as the technicians out of 20 jobs they do 19 will be hotpoint as we were going to get one as our old one last 9yrs.

Disagree Nemo I have a Hotpoint Ultima WT960 washer - it is fab. Does a quick wash in 30 mins and has extensive choice of washes. Spins at 1600 so cuts down on drying time and does a 7kg load. It is super silent when washing but NOISY when spinning. We got it from Asda (online) and was £269 a saving of £100 over Comet!
We got this one to replace our £450 Bosch washer that only lasted just over 2 years. FIL worked for Bosch years back and even he says the quality has gone down hill- the only thing that has stayed the same are the prices and the name. My Dh took our Bosch one apart to try to fix it and the quality of the parts inside was dire.
I have Hotpoint Fridge, Freezer and dishwasher and tumble dryer all work fine and I have never had to have an engineer out, unlike the Bosch man who was a regular to my last 3 washers.

Got a Zanussi

It's quick wash is 1hr 3 mins, I've never needed a longer wash. Full load, cold fill only (environmental regs)

It is brill. Also had a Bosch which was brill too.
