If you can get hold of it, the Australian Women's Weekly 'Kids Birthday Cakes' Book is FANTASTIC ....
I have done all of DS' cakes from there ...

i can really recomend debbie brown books theres usually a few on ebay but a couple of them are sought after and go for 30 odd quid, depends what sort of cake you want she does a fav character cake which has wallace and grommit on the front , i have used that book to do a few cakes and she makes it easy

I have this one which is great for ideas although haven't made many of them literally. Did the fairy castle on the cover for dd's 3rd.
