when to move from P & T carry cot to pushchair

Ds is a small 5 month old and until recently he always enjoyed sleeping in the carry cot, but if he is in there too long he starts screaming. I'm not sure whether he wants to sit up or whether he is too hot (due to current warm weather) I tried him in the pushchair but the harness is as big as him and comes right up to his chin. Just wondering at what age you moved your dc from the carry cot to the pushchair seat and at what age you used the reclined seat position.

Will be moving ds1 (3 months) very soon as he has outgrown it. And I think he finds it too hot at the moment, even early in the morning.

Fairy15, DH has reminded me that we have a sponge ted on top of the wardrobe so I will be trying it out later on. Thanks for your help.
MuffinMclay- I think that you might be right about it being too hot in the cocoon.
