dp and I are re-building our house and our budget for a new kitchen and bathroom is maximum £5K. We're doing OK but are near the wire so need to find the cheapest but obviously beautiful kitchen appliances we possibly can.

We've got about a week to decide and these are what I've found so far. Not really bothered about the make, unless anyone knows they're utterly crap:

posh looking cooker hood Possibly our only extravagence as I know we could get a funnel shaped one from this website for £60

sink and tap deal

cheapest stainless steel gas hob we can find

can we get a cheaper stainless steel double oven than this?!

any help and advice much appreciated!

I was chatting to a MN'er (in RL) today at her house. And she has the most amazing looking cooker (double range thingymajig) which she bought for £60 on Ebay, (including delivery) apparently it was professionaly cleaned before it was delivered and the only thing that's "wrong" with it is that the clock doesn't work.........

Just a thought.....

Thanks! I've had a look on ebay and nothing so far in my area (would try to avoid paying delivery!), but will keep an eye out. Timing's a problem as we need everything to be fitted in the next 2 - 3 weeks so we can escape move out from my Mum's...

yes I can understand the timing thing, but thought it was worth mentioning just incase there was something on at the moment that was suitable
