I need a dress! Formal dinner

Hello all,

please help me. My husband is taking me for a surprise dinner for my birthday - all I know is it’s formal, he said think black tie, no jeans kind of place.

im 38, a side 10, not confident with my legs, I’m quite pale with brown hair. so either something I can wear black tights with or a maxi style dress. Budget up to £180. Please help! Thank you

I would suggest ordering a few to try.

Sometimes, going for something you wouldn't normally try can be a very pleasant surprise!

With your lovely slim figure, a fitted waist and long flowing skirt would look great. If you're concerned about being cold, maybe a velvet jacket. Add a pair of heels and an evening bag and you're hot to trot.

Personally, I would only wear sheer black tights with an evening dress. Thick denier isn't exactly sexy, it screams office worker!
