yep - we got bedside tables and chests of drawers - look really stylish and work well - and don't cost a fortune (which was my main motivation)

i recommend the large chest of drawers. loads of room.

Piffle · 04/05/2008 20:16

Bed dressing table drawers.
v good I've never caught my shins on the bed but dp does. Oh we've also got the dead clever headboard. Really rate that. Dressing table not so much as wasted space under.

peachygirl · 04/05/2008 20:16

We've got two of the big chest of drawers, the smaller drawers and the bedside cabinets. I really like them they are sturdy and look great.
DD has the white ones and it put one of those big stickers on it (the tree of life from Jojo) and they look great.
Our last purchase the small chest was half price in the bargain corner, ready made up for us.

LazyLinePainterJane · 04/05/2008 20:39

We have a chest of drawers which look fine but to be honest, going together it looked like it was made from cardboard.

However, we also have a bed which is wonderful and lasted very well with no wear and tear.

mumofdjandbabies · 04/05/2008 20:42

oh good I cant decide which chest of drawers to get hmm

the middle size or to go supersize!

OP posts:
PigeonPie · 04/05/2008 20:47

Go 'supersize' - it's worth it for those extra two drawers; just think of the new clothes you can buy!

lisad123 · 04/05/2008 20:48

we have drawer sets and huge wardrobe, both wonderful

WendyWeber · 04/05/2008 20:50

DS2 has the 6-drawer chest, 2-drawer bedside table and wardrobe (which we had to get from ebay as the bastards stopped maiing it) - all in birch - great so far.

The only prob we've had is that, as with previous large IKEA drawers, if they are overstuffed the bottom falls out. I don't know why they can't put something more rigid in.

Glad i found this thread. I'm currently fancying massive biggest bed there is, two end of bed chest things, bed side cupboards (altough theydo look a bit 'travelodge') and a couple of chests of drawers.

Tinker · 04/05/2008 22:58

Have just got the pink drawers for my youngest's bedroom - look good and loads of room. Plus cheap.

LazyLinePainterJane · 05/05/2008 08:03

themoon, we have a malm superking bed and it is HUGE! Would never go smaller though.

barbamama · 05/05/2008 21:29

we've got loads of Malm chest of drawers, various sizes and used one of the single beds for ds when moving from cot - very good bet. Oh and a double bed for the spare room. Some of the ones we've had for 4/5 years i.e since they came out are chipping a tad, drawers bowing slightly but then I cram them too full and they ahve been through 4 house moves. Very, very good bet for the price I'd say and still look v good for bedroom furniture. The beds do have slightly sharp corners though.
