Is it worth getting a video fixed?

Ds2 has managed to break the video part of a combo TV/video thing. Just wondering how much it is likely to cost to get someone out to fix it? Anyone done this?

not sure but the man down the road with a repair shop looks at them and gives free extimates. Maybe there is someone like that near you.

He was very good - fixed it and at no cost to me!

you do have to take it to his shop though

Won't your home insurance cover it as part of accidental damage. Mine covered my laptop when dh bathed it by accident while changing dd.

I suspect that we have to pay the first £50 or £100 if we claim under the insurance.

That's what I thought. Will dock it from ds2's Christmas money...
