Are Skechers (kids) shoes just a trendy gimmic or is there some benefit to wearing them?

Because at £35.00 I think that they are just too expensive for DS aged 4.6.

They are hard wearing. Ds 5 yo has a pair (bought in the sales so half price) and they are great. They are light and his feet don't sweat in them. They still look new after 3 months unless you look closely. TBH can't abide cheap looking shoes and don't think £35.00 is too expensive - £50.00 yes.

ds has these for school twice , hardwearing but got the last pair cheap about £12 in John Lewis. Geox are slightly better quality imo and more breathable.

OK if they are hard wearing I don't mind spending the money. The reason why I think £35.00 is expensive is because at his age, DS feet are growing so fast. All his shoes come from Clarkes and we spend up to £30.00 - but I have seen these Skechers and liked them, and so has he. I like the Geox brand too.
