I am not loving our Wharfdale radio-alarm clock...

It cost about £60 and is supposed to be self-correcting re' the time, so you never have to set it. Anyhow, I woke up this morning at "5.30" and thought, crikey, it's light. Then I dozed off. I woke up at , ahem, "5.30" and thought "I'm sure I've been back to sleep". And then I thought "I have been back to sleep" And then I thought, ". It is 8.55".

I am quite impressed that I managed to get DS, packed lunch made, karate kit in bag, breakfast inside him, to school within 40 minutes. I am not impressed by the alarm clock though.

Oh dear - thats poor. Have the batteries gone?

You must feel nicely rested after a good night's sleep though.

What you really need is a 3 yr old, far more reliable than an alarm clock.

Ooh yes, I have a toddler and a very bouncy 4 yr old - soooo much better than a clock.

Monday was inset day. We were going to see NappiesGalore.

We were going to get up at a leisurely pace and set off.

Flamechick had other ideas... 7.10am - "NAPPIESGALORE TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

It's plugged into the mains and just suddenly decided that 5.30 was a good time to stick on... Anyhow, do not buy one - we've only had it a few months!

There is no need for sarcasm. I am traumatised.
