Small present for arty 11y/o

Looking for a bit of advice! A colleague’s 11 y/o daughter has recently been having a clear-out and my colleague has gifted me some nice things for my (much younger DD), including a doll’s house and various books/toys.
I’m going to get a box of chocolates for the family to say thanks, but I’d like to get something extra for the girl. I’ve only met her a couple of times, but I know from things my colleague has told me that she’s very arty and creative.
Can anyone suggest a nice, cheap and easy-to-buy present to give her? (I say cheap because a) it’s Christmas and my purse is hurting!, and b) I know they would be embarrassed if I bought something more because they really are not expecting anything in return).
Thanks!

Are you talking cheap like £5 or £30?

I would say a pen set, maybe a gel pen set for around £15 on Amazon?

For very arty 11yo I'd go for Posca pens. But they're around £15ish.

I would say around £10-15 mark. I’ll have a look at the gel pens, thanks!

Do you know what kind of arty? The Works is good for cheap art materials and some of them just as good quality-wise as more expensive. So you can get a small set of acrylic paints, a set of brushes and a pack of small canvases, for instance and still come out with change from £20.

You can get lovely sets of drawing pens - about 5 or 6 in different nib-widths for under a tenner on Amazon and probably at some cheap craft or art supply shops too, like The Works.
