Scratches induction hob

hi folks

sorry if this seems a stupid question

so if you get a scratch on an induction hob , does this mean there will be tiny bits of broken glass on your hob /worktop

I have an induction job and it is slightly scratched in areas but they’re very superficial. I think it would have to be a deep crack in it to cause broken bits of glass.
