They are great aren't they
Have you got a scheduler? We've just got the basic model but it's so useful - just stick it down in a different room each day and go off to work - come home to clean carpet

MyDingaling · 30/04/2008 21:48

yes, I have set it to come in at 10 tomorrow morning while I am work

ooh I so want one of these.

We have too many piles of 'stuff' on the floor though.

Can it go round piles of stuff or do you need to chuck everything on a surface? (can it go round furniture etc.)

I never use mine. They're too slow!

MyDingaling · 02/05/2008 21:31

It don't care about the speed because it will be cleaning away while I am at work

Just had a look at the website - looks fab! dd2 was afraid to rescue her cuddly today from under a chair cos of the dust and fluff under there I think I need a roomba...

Also saw the Scooba on the website - anyone got one of those??

foofi · 03/05/2008 07:00

Mydingaling - if your house has an alarm I would do a test first before you go out and leave it!

Papillon · 03/05/2008 07:03

I had the 2nd generation model, among the first million people in the world to have a robot in the house. I need a new one, they are fab and fits perfectly with my childhood desire for a maid. I like working with it, it encourages me to clean around it and gets more motivated to clean, something I am no natural at.

Papillon · 03/05/2008 07:06

The Scooba is still first generation, better to wait for 2nd generation model, might already be out, or you may to wait afew years. Check out tests (google scooba tests) and find out, there was a mechanical problem despite it cleaning very well. Always teething problems with first generation products.

Nemoandthefishes · 03/05/2008 07:24

oohh what is this and where can I get one??? Anything that means I dont have to clean is always a bonus

foofi · 03/05/2008 07:27

Next on my list is the robot lawn mower - but they seem to start around £1500.

Millarkie · 03/05/2008 22:13

My house has an alarm but the roomba does not set it off (neither do the cats and I guess that most alarms are similar)

I have had my roomba for nearly a week and I still love it!
I love coming home from work knowing that 'ronnie' has been busy and that I don't need to get the Dyson out

amidaiwish · 10/05/2008 15:03

ok ok i am going to get a roomba

now what model shall i get?

Roomba 530, 560 or silver? models

plus dh is going to Hong Kong next week - shall i get him to get one there or will i have trouble with voltage etc..?

thanks!

suzi2 · 10/05/2008 15:11

I love mine. I have a 530 (bought from costco) as I have to tidy before using it so couldn't use a scheduler. It has changed my life, honestly. My mum has one and loves it. DH, DS and DD love it too.

My mum is desperate for a scooba...
