Swimming Goggles

Can anyone recommend some comfortable goggles for swiming lessons for a five year old. We are trying to encourage her to put her head under and hope this will help as all the other children in her class do this. Any suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks.

both my dds (5 and 3) have speedo junior ones and they seem to do the job well

dds keep them on for ages too so must be comfy

ive seen children wearing masks too - good if dd doesnt take well to the goggles

a good way fo getting them to put head under water is to drop something at shallow end and they 'dive' down. like a rubber toy or whatever. a weight. you can buy them in sports shops

They have been doing that in the lessons and she is making progress slowly. She will put her face in momentarily (which she prevuously would not dream of) but will not submerge and until she does this she wont progrss it seems. I'm hoping peer pressure will encourage her.

We had a problem with goggles. Tried various pairs and ended up copying a friend who'd got hers from Mothercare. Good because they have soft foam rims rather than the harder more uncomfortable rubber seal.

aquaseal junior - has got dd and her friend putting their heads in the water, they are a mask and so don't feel as enclosing.

6yo DD has some Speedo Junior ones which she is happy to wear.

my dd uses zoggs ones - I think we bought them at the sports centre - they do different styles and sizes depending on the age of the child.
