Old/new Phil & Ted Explorer question

Hi

Has anyone tried fitting the last model of the P&T Explorer (E3 I think) with the double adaptor seat of the new version? We have been given conflicting advice by different suppliers as to whether the new double seat will fit in the old model, and we cannot get an old-style seat in the same colour as our buggy.

Bloody annoyed at Phil & Ted's about this as our buggy is only 20 months old, and was sold at full price with no warnings about possible changes to the range - so to make a fundamental part obsolete in that timescale seems ridiculous. Just how fast do they think people breed? Grrrr.

btw have known for a while the e3 would be discontinued. its being repalced by the classic' in red only.

what colour is it nonicknames?

i thnk there is an issue with the recline... not sure though

someone on ebay jusy sold me one labelled sport but when it came it was e3

Have you tried outnabout - I was able to get a new seat cover for an E3 from them not that long ago (ie. since the Sport came out) - they might still have the older style doubles kit.

The new reclinable doubles seat from teh Sport doesn't fir on the e3. Me and the lady in Mothercare tried for ages to fit it to my e3 but P7T have made the prongs too far apart so the seat can't even be stretched to fit.
