Are Lynx bodysprays still fashionable? Wondering about getting some for my 15 year old nephew. If they are, are they age appropriate please?

I thought this was a baby name thread, in which case the answer is NO!

But as it's a deodorant question, lynx is fine.

Singleandproud · 14/11/2024 14:09

Why wouldn't they be age appropriate? Unless he is at some super elite school I'm sure they would be fine.

DD likes Lynx Africa as finds the women's ones too floral

Lynx comes both as a body spray and an antiperspirant so one may be more useful than the other

Lynx was all the rage in late primary amongst my DS's friends, but he'd stopped using it by the time he was about 12.

Roundaboot · 14/11/2024 14:10

I don't think any teenage boy is going to be thrilled with a Lynx set, tbh! At best, it's something practical he'll eventually use, at worst, he'll see it as naff, or not like the smell and it'll end up in the bin or re-gifted.

fruitpastille · 14/11/2024 14:12

It's OK but my ds got really fed up with receiving it from various relatives - he wrote anything but lynx on his Christmas list!

crackofdoom · 14/11/2024 14:12

Oh yes, can confirm that Lynx is definitely still in vogue with 14- 15 year olds, at least in this neck of the woods 😶‍🌫️ (that emoji represents me struggling to breathe through the clouds of Lynx after DS comes out of the shower).

crackofdoom · 14/11/2024 14:14

But yeah, it's viewed more as a necessity that you get your parents to buy with the weekly shop. If you want to get him a present he'll probably be more into posh cologne.
