Recommendations for tea lights, now that Wilko's are no more...

Wilko's tealights were just brilliant. They burned well, they lasted the full 4 hours and they were good value for money. Now that they've gone, I've had to go elsewhere and nowhere seems to do them like Wilko used to. The last lot I had from B&Q were absolute crap. Can anyone recommend good tealights?

are you near an IKEA? I always get mine from there

evilharpy · 14/11/2024 11:59

Ikea, I seem to come out with more every time we go there

LadyChilli · 14/11/2024 12:03

Yes IKEA. Theirs are visibly bigger than any others. I only realised after buying some when I already had a stash from Asda and Lidl and saw them side by side.

Autumnweddingguest · 14/11/2024 12:04

IKEA for plain ones. John Lewis or M&S for really good value scented ones that don't smell cheap.

daffodilandtulip · 14/11/2024 12:20

Yeah I thought it was the law that we had to buy them from ikea 🤷🏼‍♀️

Try ordering from Amazon

shellyleppard · 14/11/2024 12:38

IKEA, home bargains, pound stretcher or eBay. I miss wilkos 😿😿

OliviaRodrighost · 14/11/2024 12:43

I tend to pick up Habitat ones when in Sainsbury’s. You can get a pack of 100 plain ones for £4.50, or splash out on scented ones, which are £4.00 for 18.

Also got some from Dunelm recently, £3 for 24 rhubarb scented ones.

Iloveeverycat · 14/11/2024 12:57

I use Sainsbury's Habitat too.

hairbearbunches · 14/11/2024 17:10

Brilliant. Many thanks for all the suggestions. I don't live near an IKEA unfortunately, but there is a big Sainsbury's not far away and I'm heading that way next week.

You can still get them from Wilkos online and either get them delivered or click and collect- this is available in lots of The Range " stores.

KnottyKnitting · 14/11/2024 17:24

Sorry forgot the link: www.wilko.com/en-uk/search/?text=Tea+lights

buffyspikefaithangel · 14/11/2024 17:32

Another vote for IKEA, I bought a ton over the weekend. They deliver too, the delivery charge is low for small orders.

unsync · 14/11/2024 17:51

Ikea do delivery. I think there's a minimum order, but you could get a lifetime supply! Glimma is the type you need.

Mochudubh · 14/11/2024 18:01

The Range bought over a lot of Wilko stuff and sell some products under the name. Don't know if the below will help (Wilko never made it this far north).

Edited to add I hadn't seen @KnottyKnitting 's post above.

Search for the 8 hour tea lights. Far less faff!

As long as they're not for wax burners as they're not safe

hairbearbunches · 16/11/2024 11:22

@KnottyKnitting and @Mochudubh I had no idea that Wilko was still online. They've got the small ones and maxi ones in my local Range to click and collect 😊Thanks so much.
