I collected mine on Friday and we all (dc's & dh) have been adicted to it ever since we opened it yesterday. I think it's fab. Anyone else?

Oooooh I sooooooo want one, but have just spend loads on baby things. Plus I am not sure I could use it while pregnant? What is the err... weight limit BTW?

ratbunny · 28/04/2008 12:31

has anyone unlocked more aerobics yet?
I really want one, but I know I will only do it regularly if there is a half decent aerobics workout. I tried the basic step workout, but it was a bit too basic, and only lasted 3 minutes.
Now I know I am asking a lot of a game, but does anyone know if the aerobics lasts a bit longer and is a bit more challenging on the unlocked levels?

Fimbo · 28/04/2008 12:31

Does anyone know where they are in stock?

Gamestation's couriers managed to "lose" the one I pre-ordered.

There is a step plus, which involves more complicated moves & I think is a bit longer, or just do that one twice. There is also a more advanced hula hoop one, some more jogging ones (how far can you jog in 10 mins etc) this one can play in the background while you are watching TV, also a boxing one which I haven't tried yet.

Volkl · 28/04/2008 12:36

weight limit is 23stone

the more you do the more it unlocks, but i too hope the step gets more intense, but then again if you do several of the 'games' it'll definately start working!

BexieID · 28/04/2008 12:39

23 stone something is the weight limit. I asked a guy in Game on saturday. Every shop we went in had it in stock, except Mario Kart!

Fimbo · 28/04/2008 12:42

Thanks Bexie, its out of stock everywhere on-line and I can't get to town until Saturday.

Dh is working in London until Wednesday so I have sent him a message to hunt out stores there.

HappyMummyOfOne · 28/04/2008 12:49

The wii age is funny, i'm 10 years older too - hopefully i'll bring it down the more I do. I wonder if they will release more discs for it.

Fot those that have done the ski jimp and football, do you unlock these under the aerobics part?

MrsPuddleduck · 28/04/2008 12:54

We are all loving our wii fit - but are aching all over1 We have obviously played it far too much as we have virtually unlocked every game!

Plus - Ds1 (4) spent so long jogging on saturday that he crashed out on Saturday night and had a huge lie in!

tweetyfish · 28/04/2008 12:55

We got one too, really enjoyed it. Can't do the jogging thing though, am I missing something? Just stand there jogging but the mii doesn't move. the guy in from keeps beckoning me but I don't move... Any ideas?

Volkl · 28/04/2008 12:58

you need to have your normal controlled in your hand or pocket.

Volkl · 28/04/2008 12:58

*controller (nun chuck type thing)

tweetyfish · 28/04/2008 13:00

just the normal wii one or the nunchuck as well ? (the one used for boxing)? We've been using the normal one, in front pocket, back pocket, holding on...

florenceuk · 28/04/2008 13:08

if you wiggle the controller up and down while jogging (or in my case standing there laughing) you go faster!

Volkl · 28/04/2008 13:50

tweetyfish - just this one

bratnav · 28/04/2008 14:00

OMFG I hate it, I am 25.43 BMI and it has made my mii all chunky (and not even in the right places!). Even worse my Wii Fit age is 40!!!!!! I am onloy 29 and didn't think I was that bad

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/04/2008 15:27

I managed to get my wii fit age to 36 today - my real age. Hooray!!!! Astonishing as I am so beyonf tired its not funny.

though like others I did get told it could tell I took a break doing the push ups. It couldn't see me sat on the floor trying to fake them by pushing down with my hands

wohmum · 28/04/2008 15:32

I'm a wii newbie but my very exercise-mad DP decided to buy one for me with the new Wii for our Ds's birthday .. oh how I laughed when it had him down as an OBESE 55 yr old when he's only 47 and extremely fit! presume it's cos he's solid muscle and it doesn't take account of the 'muscle weighing more than fat' theory!

scanner · 28/04/2008 21:12

I've unlocked step plus and free step as well as the super hula, the aerobic stuff is getting better.

More importantly though I ache like mad today and still knocked up another 40 mins today.

I think I might actually stick at this .

MuffinMclay · 29/04/2008 10:04

Humble pie time. I reluctantly agreed to let dh show me the blasted thing, and actually it was rather good fun.

BMI was far, far better than I expected (23), but it put my fit age at 59. Not sure if it is still really credible to use the 'I've just had a baby though' excuse 10 weeks on.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 29/04/2008 15:46

10 weeks is very very early days Its still a good reason!

I made it across the tight rope today - hooray!!
failed on the hula hoop though.

ZeMNetterWithZeBigBoobies · 29/04/2008 15:48

We've bought one today.

scanner · 29/04/2008 16:15

Muffinmclay - I think 10 weeks is totally acceptable, now do you think 5 years ago counts?

chunkymonkies · 29/04/2008 20:44

We have one - DH and I love it - haven't told the DC we have it yet!!!

lilyloo · 29/04/2008 20:54

this is much better than an exercise clas and i am much better than dp on most things and he isn't happy!
Have managed to do 30 min every day since i got it on Fri and love the unlocked step class!
