Is it just me or is it really difficult to find toddler boys' clothes without daft slogans

Like "Cheeky Monkey!" "I'm a little rascal!" "Tantrum alert!" etc etc

I don't want my ds labelled like that!,All I want is to find some decent inexpensive plain clothes. Today I went to about 4 shops and the only things I could find had NEXT or GAP written all over them, and they're more expensive too.

I imagine it's similar for girls clothes too with everything being pink and princessy.

Sorry for the rant.....

You need to shop in H&M and avoid Next and Tesco boys clothes like the plague

myermay · 25/04/2008 20:37

i had this problenm today. I love next kids clothes but hate the slogans. Stick to the trousers. Pumpkin patch is good though

UppsyDaisy · 25/04/2008 20:45

Ah yes, don't have either of those in Staines!

beansprout · 25/04/2008 20:48

I feel the same. Ds1 wears a lot of stripes!!

PigeonPie · 25/04/2008 20:53

Sainsbury's had some nice tops a couple of weeks ago, and more surprisingly so did M&S and they were also pretty reasonable - in fact I think it's the first time I've been prepared to actually buy M&S stuff for the DSs.

ThingOne · 25/04/2008 20:55

No problem. I don't think we have any logos at two. Half the stuff is boden, monsoon or gap sale with the other half being mixed hand-me-downs.

Buy in sales in advance to get what you want!

jojosmaman · 25/04/2008 20:55

Zara kids and H&M for boys, I dislike the slogan stuff too and find these two are best choice and value.

Photoloco · 25/04/2008 21:57

They have some nice stuff here (Kids in Style) and here (Nordic Kids). Nice colourful, non-logo, funky clothes.

MrsMattie · 25/04/2008 21:58

I hate slogan teeshirts!

I buy most of DS's clothes in Primark, some of the stuff is suspect but you can get some good simple stuff.

chankins · 25/04/2008 22:00

Ooh I really noticed this when I had my ds, after having two girls first.
Could hardly find any tops that didn't have 'I'm trouble' or'little monkey' etc on them ! It really annoyed me, as he was a tiny little baby, and no trouble at all 1
I love h&m for boys clothes, and he does wear a lot of stripes too.

stripeymama · 25/04/2008 22:00

This is a good place for plain unisex clothes in nice colours.

Sunshinemummy · 25/04/2008 22:02

Gap have lots of tops without slogans. Also like H&M and Boden for DS. Debenhams have a fab Antoni and Allison range which is v. similar to Monsoon but half the price.

PuppyDogTails · 25/04/2008 22:03

Oooh I like that site stripey

Photoloco - The kids in style link features clothes at twice the amount I would normally spend on clothes for me Perhaps a little too much to spend on small children!!!

UppsyDaisy · 25/04/2008 22:12

ooh thanks all!

and this is good too:

www.kidsshouldbekids.co.uk

Love that rainbow kids site! Shall be purchasing from there for sure. Cheap, fun and ethical! Hurrah!

nappyaddict · 14/05/2008 18:06

this is from next and no slogan in sight

nappyaddict · 14/05/2008 18:38

these are from next and really funky too

stylishmum · 14/05/2008 19:57

This is a nice organic reasonably priced t-shirt from littlebabycompany that would suit a boy or a girl organic t-shirt available up to size 3-4 years. They do lots of other plain unusula clothing as well. I also like Littlefashion gallery for stylish clothing but they are quite expensive unfortunately...

Kif · 14/05/2008 19:59

john lewis is usually good - though been a bit disappointed with them this season.

nappyaddict · 15/06/2008 13:28

what about this? it does have a slogan but not a negative one like the ones you mentioned in your op.
