Anyone know any good fabric stores in midlands area ?

Hi!
I’m looking for good quality loose cotton fabric for sewing / making Asian suits/dresses!

All the main Asian shops now sell mostly ready made dresses.

Anyone know any good loose fabric stores in Birmingham/ midlands area.

I haven't been in a while but The Fancy Silk Store in Digbeth, Bham used to be good.
There is also the Rag Market nearby but last time I looked it was nothing on what it used to be.

Try Stratford Road, Soho Road, or there is a shop in SMethwick called “O&P” they have nice fabrics for Asian outfits, not sure about if they would be cotton though - sorry

Barry's fabrics on Pershore Street has a wide selection of fabric. You could combine trips to Barry's, Fancy Silk Store and Rag Market as they are all in walking distance of one another.

You can still get material on Alum Rock road. Aziz is still going and some smaller shops too

Hey, I would definitely recommend Fabric Collection on Alum Rock road. They sell only loose fabric and there selection is great and the shop is very clean and beautiful.
