Is this a Vinted scam?

Bought an item on Vinted. It was not new as it was advertised, quite used and dirty and completely the wrong size. I was baffled and asked to return. Because it was £35 I paid for the return as the seller was ignoring me and I was worried I would be stuck with it. It was delivered and I have the delivery photo showing it delivered to a persons hand at the correct address (according to the courier map sent with the photo)

The seller is sending one line replies saying they didn't receive it. Despite the tracking and evidence.

Vinted have said I will be refunded automatically after 25 days. Does the seller also get the £35? Is this a way to make money? Not that I am planning to obviously but it's got me thinking surely it can't be that easy for a scammer?

Oh god that’s awful!
is there a chance it got delivered to the wrong address ? My packages get sent to the wrong place all the time, delivery men are under so much time pressure they don’t take enough care to check they have the right flat/house!

I’ve been buying baby clothes on there recently and I haven’t had any situations that were that bad. I was sold an adidas baby tracksuit that was listed as very good and it looked perfect in the picture but in reality it was light/medium bobbled which I would describe as good rather than very good. I didn’t bother complaining because I felt awkward and gave the seller 5stars 🙈it was only a fiver and the price was still ok for the condition it was in.

I have noticed that some people are selling absolute rubbish on there and it really winds me up, I see it more when looking for bargains on the fancy brands such as organic zoo or Claude & co. People are selling stained , ripped or overly bobbled items for £15 upwards!

I understand that there are people desperate for money at the moment but I’m struggling financially myself and I wouldn’t give items in that condition away for free, not to mind charge someone money for them, it’s disrespectful!

This one really got me thinking. It just seemed a bit deliberate.

I've had the same a few times but 99% of the time it's been fantastic 😊

If your gut says it was deliberate I’d go with that, I hope they don’t get the money 🤞
