Where to find solid wood wardrobes

I want to replace my IKEA wardrobe with one made from solid wood so the shelves/drawers don't drop out when heavy and bowed.

What I'm finding hard to confirm is whether wardrobes are completely made from wood or still have board for the shelves/back etc.

I've sent several online enquiry forms to different companies but they don't respond.

If anyone knows where to find a large wooden wardrobe, ideally with mirror (s) and drawer (s) then I would v much appreciate any signposting.

Your local auction house Victorian or Edwardian mahogany will be about 150-250 for a large wardrobe they often dismantle. However you do need to be able to hire a van to remove it usually within 48 hours

What is your budget?

I agree secondhand gives really good options.

Locally we have furniture makers who will produce things to specification.

Furniture charity shops

I've recently got loads for my new old house from a local one at a fraction of the cost of a antiques dealer .

I bought mine on ebay from a company that delivers

Thanks for people's replies - I hadn't considered second hand as I assumed it would all be dark stained wood rather than something lighter and more natural coloured. I should look though, rather than assume, so suggestions helpful.
As to budget - I don't have one as I'm trying to get things in my house that will last me for the rest of my life - replacing stuff that at first was all I could afford. I imagine a wardrobe will be £1000+. This is my 'big birthday ' treat for myself so I have something I want/need/to mark the event.
