HP printer ink situation

I bought a HP printer on Amazon and only just found out about the instant ink thing. I’m not sure if it applies if I bought it from Amazon. Are they going to cut me off from using the printer if I don’t buy ink every month? I wont need to print loads. I don’t need a constant supply of ink. Can someone advise me about this

Ok. I am also wondering what they mean by instant ink. It seems to be some kind of magic thing where they somehow put ink in your printer? How does that even work?

Actually that was a dumb comment I must have misunderstood as they send cartridges that I have to manually put it

I subscribed about 3/4 years. I find it brilliant. Depending on the kids needs I change my subscription accordingly.
So during the summer I go for the cheapest level and during school term I go up a level. Ink magically lands through the door before the current cartridges run out and the app tells you how much you’ve printed, the ink levels and any roll over pages.
Depending on your subscription unused pages roll over to the following month.
I found the customer service brilliant when I had a missing cartridge issue one time.
