In-post locker question

TheSnugHare · 16/10/2024 23:43

This is my first time using an in-post locker. I bought something online and it’s going to one. I’m meant to go and collect it but can’t. Is there a way to get a courier or something like that to collect and bring it to my house?

No, you get three days to collect it from the locker before it'll be returned to sender. You could get a family member or friend to get it for you as long as they have your QR code.

Why would you choose the locker option if you can't get to the locker? Was it the only option the seller offered?

Yeah it was the only option I have mobility issues and selected a locker a few minutes walk away from my house and for some reason it’s going to a different locker on the other side of town now miles away and when I asked the seller she said she had no control over it and to contact in post which I have and have had no response and probably won’t in time and I can’t walk that far so I will ask someone if they can collect it for me but it’s unlikely

Yeah I could but it’s £6 both ways no matter what taxi I use that’s just the price of them around here and I’d rather not pay that I don’t know

Op could you wait for it to be returned to the sender then get it delivered straight to your address??

Ask a friend to go? You just need to email them the code, and they need your phone number to enter into the machine

I've asked a friend if relative to pick up an item for me, I've just screen shotted the collection QR code and sent it to them via WhatsApp and they've never had a problem.
