Fairly new to Vinted so wondering if anyone has any similar experiences or knows what will happen next in this weird scenario …
I bought an item that had significant damage not mentioned in the listing. The seller agreed to accept a return and sent me a QR code through Vinted to return the item using InPost. The parcel had originally been sent to me through InPost and I returned the item to the same locker two days ago.
This morning I received an email from InPost letting me to know that my Vinted purchase was ready to collect from the locker. I was thoroughly confused as I haven’t bought anything else. When I collected the parcel, it’s the item I had returned - labelled with my name and the address of my local locker. The tracking information for the returned parcel still shows it as on its way back to the seller. But it’s not because I have collected it from the locker today. The parcel has the same parcel number that the seller used to send the item to me originally - so that tracking number now shows as delivered and then delivered again. It looks like the courier has somehow collected it, labelled it with the original parcel number and then delivered it back to the same locker again although I can’t work out how, when I definitely used the return QR code.
I’ve let the seller know what’s happened and she says she can’t generate another label for me to return it, and thinks this is my issue to solve with Vinted and InPost. I have messaged them both and neither can understand what I’m saying. Both are saying yes, your return is on the way to the seller, that’s what the tracking shows, and are unable to grasp that I have the parcel back in my possession. Neither will give me another label to send the parcel back to the seller as they say the return is already in progress.
What will happen next? My understanding is that the refund is generated when the seller receives the return, but she isn’t going to receive it. So I’m totally confused and obviously would like my money back!
