Scooter recommendations for a 5 year old

Hi all, I am looking to buy my son a scooter for his 5th birthday to help with the school runs. The micro scooter is out of my budget but I have seen good reviews for the Globber, but am a little confused as to what Globber scooter would be suitable for his age. I am hoping the scooter will last him a couple of years. Or if any one has any other recommendations of a smooth easy to ride scooter. Thanks

I'd have a look to see which ones his friends have in the school run. There may be ones in your area that are "in". You might also have time to pick up a secondhand preferred scooter between now and his birthday.
