My ds2 will soon be 1 and I am thinking of asking someone to bring this to us for him when they come. He loves books and loves trying to fiddle with dd's and ds's leappads. Is it worth getting this for him?

DD (21 months) has one and she likes it, though I don't think they really 'get it' before they are around 14-18 months and have the coordination and strength to press hard enough on the relevant pictures. I'm hoping it's something that will grow with her as she learns numbers etc.

We got it for dd for xmas she was only 7 mths old and didnt get it. She is 1 in 3 weeks and you just reminded me to get it out again although i think they are quite hard to push to get them making noises. I would probaby say they are for about 18 months not 6 months like they say on the pack.

soremummy ds is also 1 in 3 weeks! Thanks for both your comments, I think we shall go ahead if you think that about 18 mths they get it. In the meantime he can destroy play with his brother and sister's.
