scooter recommendations for a 3yo boy please

my parents would like to buy one for ds1's bday next month

oh, and would a 3yo be able to cope with a 2-wheeled one, or should we stick with a 3-wheeler?

I got a great three wheeler for dd 3-the two wheels are at the front and it looks like the two wheeler her brother has. I think a 3 year old may struggle on two wheels-maybe not for long though?

From my experience I wouldn't bother with a scooter - DD1 hates hers and won;t use it - we even got a pink one with flashing lights (much to my disappointment she is very much a pink girly girl!!!!)

We have also got her a training bike and we can hardly keep her of that she loves it so much. We got the Rothan from www.islabikes.com

However saying that friends have got their children scooters and they love them. I think the 3 wheelers do give a bit more stability so if you were set on a scooter I'd go for one of those.

So you have a toy library nearby where you can borrow one?

get the micro from JOhn lewis or loads of other places my dd and all her 3 yo friends spend their entire lives on them

my dd has had this one and it's v good.
adjustable handle and 3 wheels, lights too!

that's the one we have - wish DD1 would use it, oh well will save it for DD2 maybe she will be convinced!
