12 weeks, ordered and paid for black out blinds for DDs room.

Still waiting.

9 wks, Told they were with the representative and they needed to try to get hold of him, he should have made an appt to come round to fit them, they dont know where he is.

10 weeks - still no contact, told that actually, the rep does not have them afterall, and they need to come round and re-measure the window. Arranged for rep to come round between the hours of 9-12 on a friday.

11 weeks phone call from rep the evening before he is due to come round, told he cant come round 9-12, but can do 3-6pm. I cant do a we made plans, he cant make it until the following week.

I call customer service - they arrange for a different rep to come round today 9am-12pm. No-one came round, no one called. I have flu and just cant be assed to call them again.

I will call tomorrow for my money back.

Thieving bastards. My Dd has taken to waking at 6am when it gets light, hene need to blackout blinds, before this point.

Apologies for winging, but its really irritating me seeing their advert at the top of my page, saying how great they are. THEY ARE CRAP.

Thanks, Pavlov - glad you posted about this. I was going to ask if anyone had experience of Hilary's.

Now I know....as do a lot of other MNers - don't touch with window pole.

Hillarys is a franchise company so you can't really base what they will be like on someone else's experience - unless they used the same franchisee you will of course.

And to prove that they aren't all bad - I ordered vertical blinds for 2 windows and a sliding patio doors 5 weeks ago.

Had a visit for measuring up 3 hours after I rang to arrange, appt for fitting was made for 2 weeks later and for a specific time not a slot. Fitter arrived bang on time.

Fitting took less than an hour, the guy vacuumed up the (small) amount of mess he made and took away all the packaging.

I thought the price was good (£155)
