My Local Sainsburys supermarket toilets ( Colne in Lancashire) are disgusting.
The male toilets (I dont know about the females I never used them) have filthy pans and stink. Why? Well some people are lazy and filthy so do not flush the pan properly, disgusting people, but that is just one reason. The main reason is that the toilet cisterns are fundamentally flawed. To put it simply one flush is often enough so two or three are often needed. Now we get to it. The cisterns fill up very slowly, normal people are not prepared to wait forever to get 2 or 3 flushes to do a proper job. Result, you have deterred even decent healthy people from flushing properly as required. This has been so since the store was first built. There is absolutely no excuse for it and shows a complete lack of care by management. The solution is obvious even to me and I am not a plumber. Any half decent member of the building trade will find a solution or more so a good plumber. So Sainsburys, what is your excuse? There isnt one.
Just a reminder that if folk like me will not use them because of this feature then it encourages to shop elsewhere, it loses you money, can you not see the wood for the trees?
