anyone with tiscali for tv phone and broadband package?

hello thinking of changing and wanted to get feedback from people who currently on tiscali phone, tv and broadband? good? any problems? thank you

dh won a years free tiscali broadband which he had installed at MIL house. They had constant problems with it and they changed over to virgin media. Dont know what the tv or phone packages are like tho.

I don't know if this is just specific to Tiscali or helplines in general, but whenever I phone, there is usually a long wait on a premium line (0870) and I have struggled to understand the tech staff accents ...

There was a piece done in the Sunday Times about broadband providers, Tiscali didn't score very highly...

Hi - it depends what TV you have IYSWIM. We had the Tiscali broadband, phone and TV. All was good. The inclusive TV service was quite adequate for us and at the time was sooooo much cheaper than comparable Sky or Virgin Media. The problems arose when we bought a brand spanking new digital TV. Because and I am not techno minded so forgive me, the pictures come via the phone line (?) they look slightly (according to my TV obsessed DH, very) distorted. This is common and when we phoned to query it - Tiscali told us they get people complaining all the time.

We thus decided to lose the TV element of the package and use the Freeview channels that were already on the TV and just get the phone and broadband elements. Hit major problems with setting it up and billing but broadly speaking they were very helpful.

OOOOH don't get me started on TISCALI. Their customer service is non existant. They do not return calls. They completely bodged up our transfer from BT to Tiscali phone and our broadband connection went all weird becasue of it. If it wasn't a total pain in the arse to change again, I would.

oops sorry foxy just read your post properly. We only have phone and broadband, sorry . But nevertheless, their customer support when it goes wrong is lousy, and I wouldn't recommend based on that.

P.S Re: changing over phone line from BT - we had difficulties. However all the probs were caused by BT - they wouldn't let us go! Had to report them to OFCOM. Wasn't Tiscali's 'fault' on this occasion though.
