tyoes of car seats

Basically the infant carriers do them from birth to either 6-9 or 12-15 months depending on whether they are group 0 or 0+ and are rear facing. Group 1 are from 20-40lbs which takes you to approx 4 years old and are forward facing. Group 2 and 3 are for children over approx the age of 4. You do also get combination seats which do from birth to 4 years and go rear and forward facing depending on your lo's weight, age and development.

make sure you keep your lo rear facing for as long as possible as it is MUCH safer than facing forward,
the first stage car seat should be able to be used until at least 12 months,so it will be a while before you need a new seat.

Kew,got to go out so will write later on your thread, but in a nutshell,no serious cause for concern at this stage.
