I know this has been done before, but which carpet cleaner is the best ?

I am ashamed of our living room carpet. Am currently toilet training my son and still have my daughter to do, so no new carpets until it's all over, but...I cannot live with the piss for much longer. What's the best carpet cleaner these days ?

Thanks

someone on here suggested a cleaner for pet messes. it works quite well. or else rent a rug doctor!

i hired a man who came and did it for £40 and it took an hour

my living room is 2m x 5m approx if that helps

Oh, I meant like a Vax or something. So we can do the rest of the house as well. Not sure what's the best make/model.

I've got this one by Bissel.

It is really easy to use (not like I remember using a Vax), and amazingly effective on the nasty black stains on our carpet where a friends DD walked around with a sippy cup of milk, upside down, and no one wiped it up (was I annoyed - oh yes), plus all the other toddler induced stains. Makes the house smell lovely too, and rejunvenated the unstained carpets no end.

cmotdibbler - that looks great but expensive, I will check out Bissell to see if they have a cheaper model.

Thanks
