yes, its pretty good, very straightforward programs on it - unlike our last machine which resembled the control desk at NASA

Looks quite cool too

OracleInaCoracle · 14/04/2008 16:37

when we move out of here (landlord is putting house on market next month) we shall need a new washing machine, and it just looks so cool! have you got the white or the grey one? and is it ok for loads of washing?

really wanted the silver one but I was in a rush for it so we got the white with silver door. The reason I got it was simply because as I said the one before was ridiculously complicated and this one is so simple - only five buttons which is really all you need plus its a lot cleaner as it doesnt have a drawer, you just put the powder/liquid straight into the door then shut it. It takes 6kg of washing.

OracleInaCoracle · 14/04/2008 16:42

hmmmm may order it now then while its in the sale and keep it at mums til we move...

Do order one! I am pathetically in love with my moon and show it to everyone who comes to the house

NomDePlume · 14/04/2008 16:44

They are so ugly and indesit are poo.

OracleInaCoracle · 14/04/2008 16:47

lol nomdeplume, why are they poo?

lol am such an undomestic goddess - opened this thread thinking it would be a discussion on sanitary products!

NomDePlume · 14/04/2008 16:53

whenever I've had anything made by them they have not been the most robust of items. They break quickly and/or are ineffective, much like our old built in dishwasher, was brand nw when we moved in but it never washe properly. We replaced it with a Bosch within the year.

OracleInaCoracle · 14/04/2008 16:57

ahhhh

binkleandflip · 14/04/2008 20:43

Well no probs at all with mine

OracleInaCoracle · 15/04/2008 12:36

what type of probs saz?

it was fine for the 1 st yr,think the repair man was only out once or twice, but its just over a yr and a half old, and thankfully she took extended to cover as in the last 6 months the guy has been out about 15-20 times,
it doesnt finish the cycle/wont empty/spits water all over the floor,
her machine does get used a lot(she has 4 boys plus her and hubby)BUT you would expect it to last longer than a yr,it cost about £400 when she bought it.
she has now had enough and is getting a new machine next week.

MissusH · 15/04/2008 13:17

I've got the silver Moon - had it since November and so far no problems (used about 5 times a week)

I took out an extended warranty anyway (not with Indesit/Currys). It covers parts & labour and if they can't fix it they replace it so I'm not so concerned about it breaking down.

I like the fact that it is easy to use, and that the washing powder/liquid etc goes in the door so no gunky drawers to clean out!

OracleInaCoracle · 15/04/2008 13:20

hmmm, might be worth taking out the extended cover then.

OP posts:
sazm · 15/04/2008 13:56

yep i would make sure you get the cover that is tha same as missusH said, where they replace it if they fix it a certain number of times in a yr.

OracleInaCoracle · 15/04/2008 21:58

i will thanks. think ive settled on the moon. its just so pretty! (just what you want from an appliance )
