hi i am buying a buggy for my aby due in sept and am a self admitted buggy addict but have never had a loola

i like it for the reversable seat and the fact that it fold with the seat on etc

i am going to geta buggy board for my dd who will be nearly three by then but do you think that i ned the carrycot option or can just get away withthe seat fully laid back and carseat?

also is it worth me buying the 2008 version which has the basket ontop of the crossbar and will also have a warranty or just buying a 2nd hand one off ebay

I had a Loola (2006 model though) and it was fab. I did have the carrycot for my second baby but I hardly ever used it as I found the car seat/travel system much more practical for popping out in the car to shops etc. It is a lovely c/cot though and if you wanted to use it instead of a moses basket as some people do it would be smashing. The new Loola's shopping basket is actually much shallower than the old one as it sits ontop of the crossbar as you say. I preferred the old one as although access was limited, it was a big size, and you could also stow a packet of nappies on the crossbar as well, which you can't do with the new basket there. Also the old model has the two handles which you can put bags over (can't do this with the single type)
I must admit though I am tempted myself to get the Loola Up, as I need to be able to push one handed to control my walking toddler!

i compared the 2 in my local baby shop and got the loola up (the new one)

It has better suspension, feels lighter although is still heavy, the shopping basket is better, it has one handle so doesn't feel as rickety, raincover still as fiddly to put on (didn't try that in shop) but so far i love it. DS3 is 5.5 weeks and i an hold hands with newly walking everywhere ds2 (3) and ds1 is happy to hgold the side of the trolley

I really like my loola (2007 model) bar a couple of things... the basket is really rubbish, can only get tiny things in there because of the crossbar position, so I'd get the new version if the basket is more accessible. I didn't buy the carrycot either, the seat reclines quite far and my ds was fine in it from newborn.

it's not the loola up i'm on about getting, its the loola 2008 which is the same as the normal loola but they have updated it and it has the basket ontop of the crossbar and still has two handles

i looked at the loola up online and was going to go for it cos it;s supposed to be lighter but thought about shopping etc and agree that it would be easier to hang the bags over the handles

does anyone use their loola with a buggyboard if so is it easy to use and what knd of board is it?
