I want to buy a Nintendo Wii for my DH for his birthday... but haven't a clue how it works or where the best place to buy one is! Happy to buy online or in a shop, but can anyone tell me where to look for a good deal and what I should be looking for? I've tried looking but I'm confused at the different packages. Sorry to be so numpty but I've never even seen one in real life! Thanks for your help.

well most shops sell the wii including one game = wii sports for around £180. that also comes with one controller.

It then depends on what games are in the package as to what the package costs. So if you want a package - look for games you think your dh would like.

You will also need to buy a nunchuck (which allows you to play the boxing game on wii sports) and it may be worth buying wii play as this comes with a free controller.

personally for now I would just get the Wii and wii Play and a nunchuck. Most shops will charge about the same for those.

some decent deal IMO

that is the standard price and all consoles include wii sports though, so it doesn't really matter if you go to woolies or argos or wherever

Hubby bought one this very morning from Tesco.Com to collect from store on Monday.

With clubcard points etc was a really good deal

Friend bought one from Toys R Us which includes sports pack, controllers and a few games, I think it was £240.00. It was the best deal we could find apart from Argos who didn't have the stock.
