My daughter has just had her 6th Birthday party and she got a doll, that looks like a Barbie type but she is dressed for mountaineering and wants to study archeology (allegedly) I am quite impressed by the whole thing really, a better model for girls than all pink and princessy. The box says 'join the girls for an online adventure, click on the site and see what they are doing now' so I thought, I'll have a look and see what it's like, see how much they are etc, and the site leads me to online dating!!!!! Not very appropriate for a 6 year old?!!! I googled the dolls and a brief look around seems to think that they were the 'next big thing' in 2002, I can only think that they've fell from popularity and the company has sold the web adress, anyone know anything?

Hoiw surreal - just googled them and it looks like you can't even buy them anymore- maybe the person who gave it has had stashed away in a cupboard for years! looks like a good idea but as you say - looks like they peaked in 2002!

My first thought on seeing the doll was that she had got it from some cheap shop that sells off old toys (don't know why, it was my gut reaction if you like) but they do seem like a good role model, but, but!!!!! my dd got it out of the box this morning and the hand fell off and is broke and won't fix!!!! maybe that's why they didn't survive?!
