Britax Vigour 3-wheeler plus - anyone got one?

Any reviews/thoughts on this?

I have a Bruin Presto stroller and while it is nice I can't help wanting something a bit better for walking into town or to the park, and really like the idea of having DS face me, he outgrew his pram at 3 months but still spends most of his time in the pushchair asleep so I sort of miss being able to see him.

It looks fab especially for reclining and having suspension, or am I over-hyping it?

I have the original vigour 3 - not sure what difference the "plus" makes?

Good points - air tyres (a "must" for me as we do a lot of walking), baby faces either way, takes milliseconds to recline ... from bolt upright to virtually flat, lovely & light to push, great shopping basket, can push one handed, decent hood (when upright), it's SILENT to push (all my other pushchairs have either squeaked or rattled!!!), can fold in one piece (but v. cumbersome to do).

Bad points - seat is quite small & narrow - wouldn't suit larger children, front wheel sometimes jams unexpectedly (you only have to take a step backwards to unjam it!), frame scratches really easily, bucket seat... so when you recline it the hood goes back with it too (leaving no protection - I had to buy a parasol).

Overall, it's by far the best pushchair I've had. I even preferred it to the infamous bugaboo! DS absolutely hates going in his maclaren (we leave it at the parents), but loves his Vigour!

HTH, Iona

Brilliant - thank you! One-handed pushing is great, I am forever veering into hedges if I am using my phone or iPod

I'll keep my eyes peeled for a bargain

Does it fold down with the seat unit attached in rearward mode?

yes, but it's bulky and cumbersome when folded like this
