and matching dining table and chairs.

Or even a nice dresser or display cabinet(with storage) and table and chairs.

So far I've looked at Next and M&S and haven't seen anything I like.

Thanks.

Just brought chairs, table and sideboard all matching on ebay.

More details please.

Modern/old fashioned?

Pale coloured/painted/dark wood?

Budget?

Bubbaloo · 10/04/2008 17:17

I would imagine we would like something either in a mahogany colour as the windows are a dark wood, although possibly a dark pine may be ok aswell as they currently have pine wardrobes in the bedrooms, which look nice.
I prefer old fashioned but don't mind some modern furniture,as long as it's not too wacky.
Not entirely sure about budget-probably around £2,000,although I do like a bargain.

Gola Furniture is nice.

No prices on the site unfortunately but I know DFS Dining stock their products.

JackieNo · 10/04/2008 17:29

Dark oak? If you click on the 'more from this range' tab at the right hand side, you can see the sideboard that goes with it. Might not be large enough though.

Bubbaloo · 10/04/2008 17:39

Thanks that Gola furniture is nice but now I'm wondering if perhaps it's a little too dark.
The sideboard from the Cotswold Company is lovely but I don't like the table and chairs.
I think I'm preferring the dark oak colour though.

That was the mahogany range I linked to, they have other choices too.

I am a sucker for old fashioned furniture so love their reproduction stuff. Can't afford the real thing!

JackieNo · 10/04/2008 17:51

Is this too ethnicy looking?
Very dark
Too modern?
Nice, but a bit ££.

JackieNo · 10/04/2008 17:57

This (with the sideboard)
Oval or rectangular, with sideboard - but a bit square, as the name implies.

Bluebutterfly · 10/04/2008 17:59

I got a great solid oak sideboard on ebay.

JackieNo · 10/04/2008 18:01

TAble etc and sideboard in oak.
Quite rustic, with sideboard (though the colours look v different).
Again quite modern, with sideboard.

Bubbaloo · 10/04/2008 18:53

Thanks very much.
I like the rustic set-think I might phone them tomorrow to check the colours as the sideboard does look alot different in colour to the table.
