Help me find some bits - Postpartum fashion

I gave birth 4 weeks ago and although I haven’t weighed myself, I guesstimate I’m around 1.5 stones heavier than pre-pregnancy. Carrying the majority of this extra weight on my stomach and breasts. I’d say size overall now a size 16 (previously 12).

I’m really trying to buck old habits and not get sad about the fact nothing in my wardrobe fits me at the moment. When I felt “fat” before I would restrict my eating and I know that’s not healthy and I need to give my body a chance to slowly recover from pregnancy and childbirth.

So, without spending a fortune or buying lots of fast fashion - what do you recommend I purchase? Total budget £300.

Pre-pregnancy, I dressed “up” every day - hair and make up done and always (IMO) well dressed but I feel a bit lost with it all now. I like to take pride in my appearance and when I feel I look good, I feel confident and pretty. If I’m totally honest with myself, I probably put a bit too much value in that but that’s something to unpack another day!

I live in Scotland so there’s not much demand for super summery clothes 😂 I have a couple of gigs coming up (one in Aug, Sept & Oct) and I also want to go out for a date or two with my fiancé. Day to day, I don’t have much on - popping out for a coffee or lunch.

I don’t need to worry about shoes or bags (I have a pretty wide collection already).

Thank you!
