I’ve been an active member of Vinted for the past two years, both buying and selling. Just a bit of fun - I’d like to know your weirdest or funny experiences on there!
Some of mine:
- I bought an item, the seller then bombarded me with messages asking to look at her other items to add to my order. I said thank you but nothing was suitable. She then said that she ‘wasn’t going to the shop for one thing’ so I either had to buy more or wait for another buyer to order something?! I ignored her and I guess she made no other sales because she didn’t post it and I got refunded.
- A prospective buyer messaged me asking if I could reduce my item by 37p because she had OCD and only likes ‘whole’ numbers so once the shipping and fees were added it would be a round number…
- Probably the strangest one - I was selling a breast pump and surplus unused milk storage bags. A woman messaged asking if I would sell them full as she ‘likes to drink them’…
