What a great idea if you were short on space.

Shhhh · 07/04/2008 22:06

wow.! Thats a good idea although I guess you may struggle seeing to the baby oopp top if you are short (seen as im 4ft 11 this would be a concern ).

SoupKitchen · 07/04/2008 22:20

I would worry more about toddler throwing things in on top of baby, or poking it through the cot sides

thisisyesterday · 07/04/2008 22:22

don't like the name
makes me think of shanty towns

nappyaddict · 08/04/2008 00:03

i wasn't keen on the name either. i think it's a good idea for people who only have say 2 bedrooms so their toddler and baby would have to share a room anyway and the risk of the toddler poking/throwing things on the baby would be the same.

i like the bottom 'bunk'

what would be wrong with using beds like that from birth?

montessori was against the idea of cots. she reckoned a mattress on the floor, with a rug next to it in case of fallout. i reckon that, with a sleeping bag... perfect.

i never did it with mine coz its an old house and dp was worried about drafts . should learn to stick to my principles more, me

uttertripe · 08/04/2008 00:10

why do they need caging in anyway? might piss em off less if we didnt cage em. i know ds2 was of that opinion
