Cheeky wipes curled up

So I bought cheeky wipes after having my first child. After just a few washes, they all curled up really tightly. I've tried ironing them flat and placing them under heavy books, but they're so tightly curled it barely makes a difference. It makes them a real pain to use.

Has anyone else had this problem? What did you do about it?

I did wash them at 60 degrees but that's because they get really mucky so I wanted them to be thoroughly cleaned, and found that 40 degree washes weren't enough. I'm now expecting baby number 2, and want to use reusable wipes, but the ones I have are unusable now, so will probably give them away (if I can find anyone who wants curled up wipes) and try a different brand.

Thanks for posting about this - I have exactly this problem at the moment too! I don’t remember it being so bad with my first baby, but I’m using the same wipes again with my second now and they’re really bad - really tightly curled. I use them as bottom wipes for nappy changes so also have always washed them on 60. I’ve been struggling with detergent build-up on my cloth nappies (adjusting to new detergent/new machine!) and wondering if this could be the issue? When I uncurl them they do feel sticky where they’ve been curled up - perhaps too much detergent is getting stuck in them and not getting rinsed out? But even hot washes without detergent haven’t fixed them so far... I’d love to hear if anyone has a solution for this!
