BUGABOO BEE owners with older babies/toddlers - honest opinions please!

We have a M&P Pramette which we keep in the boot and an I'Coo Platon 3 which I use most days for going out on walks. I'm not happy with the Pramette as I like DS to be facing me. DH HATES the I'Coo - says it's difficult to manoeuvre.

Went to John Lewis today and had a go on the Bugaboo Bee, which DH much prefers. Only thing is 8mo DS looked quite big in it and we don't want to have to get yet another pushchair when he's 2 or something.

So is there anyone with a Bee and an older baby who can attest that there is enough room for them to grow into it? Be honest, I won't mind!

Oh, and if the general concensus is that it would be no good, what alternatives are there? Has to be light-ish without being flimsy, rear- and forward-facing, big enough to last DS, but small enough to fit in boot. That's it really. Help! Misdee? Anyone?

we just got teh Quinny Zapp, it works with the maxi cosi car seat for now, and then the seat "zips" in forward facing when hes bigger, till age 4 ish. We were supposed to be getting a bugaboo from the people who got us the car seat, so I guess they are compatible (although to be honest I have no idea waht a bugaboo is apart from their comments)

Don't have one myself as I was talked out of it by the assistant in John Lewis who said that they are v small and not great for toddlers. She also said that she wouldn't advise buying one as they were only just out and so Bugaboo were trying to iron out all the teething troubles.

I am not sure if a Bugaboo bee is any bigger than the Frog? I have the frog and with the cozy toes on in through the winter my ds aged 1.6 found it quite tight, with the cosy toes off still ok.

My dd who is 3 really has outgrown it.

I hope this helps.

Used to have a Frog and have only seen the Bee in John Lewis, but it looks tiny.

Give it a couple more months and DS may well prefer to face forward. Both mine did, DD was practically hanging out of the Frog trying to face forwards at 9mths. At least that would open up your options
