My DS is 2 weeks old and weighs 2.8kg...we've been wanting to carry him in a sling since birth, as our MW advised 'kangaroo care' might help with estabishing bf'ing. The sling we've bought claims to be suitable for babies only of 3.5kg and above, but in a pram suit I find it impossible to believe he's going to fall through a leg hole.
Does anyone have experience of wearing a small baby in this kind of sling? Will it be safe? He wasn't premature, just small but is gaining weight rapidly.
