Hi chocbutton - I have got one and bloody hell I love it,,,,, I am no fan of ironing but I do like to have ironed sheets, baby clothes etc and I even iron muslins (it just feels nice). My mum got one and after using hers I came home, used my old iron and HATED it.... Have since upgraded to a Tefal steam one and it halves the amount of time ironing, it gets tough creases out etc. god iron geek here! I can't remember the model of mine - but make sure you get a decent reservoir to hold the water, make sure you can fill up the water half way through - and my `tefal heats up in 2mins. SO by the time you have set everything up and been to the loo or poked the baby - it is ready to go. Do it I say - let me know what you think too (and I DON'T have shares in Tefal either!)

They really do cut your ironing time dramatically.

HuwEdwards · 07/04/2008 18:43

LittleBella · 07/04/2008 18:46

Yes yes yes yes

Mine has changed my life. I hated ironing with a passion and now I quite look forward to it. [Stepford Wife Emoticon]

LittleBella you are not alone - my friend ridicules me and says I couldn't afford to go back to work as I would need to send all my ironing out to keep up!

chocbutton · 07/04/2008 20:30

well i am now even more excited about my new iron coming tomorrow! who'd have thought it!
Will update you all with news of my freshly pressed clothes and bedding tomorrow night

just a quick post to say I am a convert to the power of the steam generator! really quick and easy and you do only have to iron one side (although I keep doing the other side out of habit)
hurray, so glad I bought it , I really do think this will make a huge difference to my free time and I am not exaggerating! I hate ironing with a passion but cannot bear to have creased clothes/bedding, so always feel snowed under with a pile of the damn stuff! go and get one everyone!
