How do you store your jewellery? I'm fed up of trying to extract things from a tangled heap...

I have quite a few jewellery boxes but it's costume jewellery, bangles and long necklaces (at the moment long necklaces hanging on soap dispenser holder) that I have problems with. Any clever ideas?

I keep them stored in a flat plastic tupperware style box. Use thin strips of cardboard bent round into a circle and fastened with a little bit of sellotape. Lay flat in the box and put fastened necklace around the outside (think of those strips they have in collars of new shirts)

You can put loads, one inside the other, in the box. If you need another layer, add a flat piece of card (cereal box thickness) and start again on top. You can lift that out complete if you need to get to the ones underneath.

I hang my necklaces on a coat hanger.

I have three rows of tiny nails on the back of our wardrobe door and I hang one necklace/bracelet on each nail.
