My 2.9 year old wants to join his siblings at riding outside on the scooter and tricycle and I have just thought maybe he should have an helmet.

halfords, argos, toysrus, etc all stock helmets

Oh, I know where to get one from, I just wasn't sure whether they did them small enough and if he needed one.

Thanks.

make sure you measure his head to get a good fit, as some places you cant try them on,
argos has a good variety of sizes.

the ones we have for out 1 yr old and 3 yr old are all adjustable. Bike shops will help you try them on.

Hubby thinks he doesn't need one just yet but when we do get one we will go to Halfords.

Thanks.

Definitely best to get them used to wearing one asap. DD/DS started wearing them at 12mths

We haven't before as he can't really ride anything yet but he has started showing interest this week so I will get him one now.

dd3 has one. she has a large head (all my girls do, makes hat buying a nightmare), got hers from halfords.

I will def go to Halfords. They were fab when DS1 came off his bike. They checked it over, redid the breaks as DH had wired them in the wrong way round and helped us get him a new helmet.
