if not clarks for shoes where?

ds feet gone up a size again & i usually go to clarks but after hearing some not good things about their shoes i'm looking for alturnatives so please help as o to get some tomorrow. thanx

Startrite are lovely, also try and independant shoe shops nearby, I often find the service second to none.

best bet is to find an independent shoe shop, or a department store, that stocks several different brands as you're more likely to find a style that fits properly.

We have a shop called shuzu in our town, kicked Clarks by the curb ages ago.

Shuzu stock all the big names, startrite, kickers, shox, geox etc.

Excellent customer service and after care.

i go to the revoltingly named 'tender steps' in romford.

we are spoiled for choice in our town with 2 continental shoe shops - pricey but shoes are worn every day!

We went to a local independent shop, and they took a lot of time fitting DD2's shoes properly. They had Clarks (which we bought, they were the best fit), and Startrite, which I liked the look of but weren't quite right.

DD1's last shoes came from Brantano. They had Hush Puppies which looked good and comfy, but again, not a good fit so we got Clarks again. I have no idea how good they are at fitting as I took my own trained shoes fitter that time (my mum!).
